Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning

Sexton had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Mission: Impossible production team to bring one of the most daring and iconic scenes in the franchise's history to life—the breathtaking train crash sequence featured in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The cinema and photography team faced an immense challenge: they needed enclosures capable of withstanding the extreme forces and impact of a full-scale train crash into a quarry, all while ensuring the Z-Cams and memory cards inside remained intact and operational to capture every critical angle of the action.

Sexton developed several advanced cylindrical enclosures designed for maximum durability and performance under extreme conditions to meet this challenge. These enclosures were built to endure high-velocity impacts and engineered to maintain precise alignment for seamless footage capture. The robust construction combined with lightweight, impact-resistant materials ensured the enclosures provided optimal protection while enabling filmmakers to achieve their ambitious vision.

Thanks to this collaboration, several spectacular shots from the explosive stunt were captured using Sexton enclosures, preserving the dramatic visual intensity of the scene.
