(2023) CFF Stereo

The ocean is dynamic and full of interconnected data that can be difficult to string into a single picture of the area of study. However, in 2023, we were tasked to create a low cost- small stereo enclosure that will monitor fish assemblages around windfarms to paint a picture of the environment beneath. This system presents high-quality LED lights that illuminate the view for two custom built cameras' connected to a raspberry system. Compounded on this, the system incorporates audio, to correlate fisheries measurements, taken from the cameras with ambient sound to assess how wind farms might be influencing the environment around them.
