(2023) Tricam- Deep Sea Cinematic System

The Tri-Clops system, co-created with our partners at Nautilus Live, is a three camera system array which was designed to shoot the highest quality, production-ready video for deep sea exploration. The focus of this system was to create cinematic video for photogrammetry and stereo applications. The team at Nautilus integrated the camera system into their Hercules ROV to assist their efforts exploring the underwater terrain in the Hawaiian Archipelago. This footage is ciritical to not only increase the capabilities of Underwater ROV exploration, but also to connect educators and scientific outreach groups with high quality cinematic video. The hope is to create experiences for an audience as science is being conducted to increase awareness, improve educational experiences, and create generations of stewards for oceanic awareness.
